Most people in their lives sometimes feel compelled to make a speech. This could be a witness at a wedding, an anniversary or a birthday party and who is not comfortable with public speaking, which can feel like a virtual nightmare.
For many it is an incredibly stressful to make a speech, but there’s not much you can do to prepare themselves properly. A well-prepared speech is generally much better and with a story much less stressful for those who give.
Depending on circumstances, there are many different unwritten rules of what you can / can not say how long it should be, etc. etc. Most of the rules can be ignored, but there are some things that should not set place in every speech;
Ex girlfriend or boyfriend
Raising an old girlfriend or a friend in a speech on marriage is not a good idea. At best, it is tedious and at worst may offend the couple’s wedding. A good rule is to never bring up former partners, if the new wife or husband is present, so as not to offend anyone.
Critical
Criticism must always be delivered with a touch of humor evident to her. If there is anything in particular, have argued above, it must obviously be taken at a later time – when you give a speech.
